Bond Logistix LLC opens Florida Office
Los Angeles (June, 2004) - Bond Logistix LLC ("BLX"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of global law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, announced today that it has expanded into Florida with the opening of an office in Tampa. Bond Logistix is a consulting and SEC-registered investment advisory firm that offers tax compliance and investment advisory services to bond issuers, primarily state and local governments.
"Since we rolled out our integrated tax compliance and investment advisory services in September 2000, we have been impressed with the positive reception the market has given us," said BLX President Craig Underwood. "The improving economy, rising interest rates, and the frequent under-investment of bond proceeds by tax-exempt bond issuers only serve to increase demand for BLX's services in the near future."
Erik Dingwall, Associate Director with BLX, and head of the company's Florida operations, said, "BLX has already achieved a solid footprint in Florida, and we are confident we can expand on that. Florida in particular has the perfect combination of active, sophisticated issuers that are most receptive to BLX's services."
Founded in 1989, Bond Logistix has provided pre- and post-issuance financial consulting services for more than 10,000 transactions issued by approximately 1,200 state and local governmental entities. The company has a team of more than 40 finance professionals rigorously trained in the fundamentals of fixed income securities and the regulations governing tax-exempt debt. Bond Logistix also has offices in Dallas, Los Angles, New York and San Francisco.
The new office, which will be headed up by Dingwall, is located at 1715 N. West Shore Boulevard, Suite 918, Tampa, FL 33607. The phone is 813-286-8609 and the fax is 813-286-8627.
BLX is registered investment advisory firm, which provides comprehensive financial and quantitative services to public sector clients. With offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Dallas and Tampa, BLX provides investment advisory, arbitrage rebate and yield restriction, continuing disclosure, tobacco securitization program administration, and various other services relating to tax-exempt bond transactions to more than 1,200 governmental clients across the country.
